I write to you with a dissappointing review of the very e publisher that lured me into first producing my book: IUniverse. From the very start of the relationship, customer service was missing, the marketing department was not talking to the retail outlets, they did not report sales that were being made and not even recording them to me. This has been for over two years, I have received no checks, no royalties, even though my book is being marketing in India , and friends have told me about listings on Amazon.com for over $20.00 for a book that I marketed no more than 10.95.

They used another poet's cover design on my book and I was forced to re print an entire marketing tool kit at the critical time of launch, I lost opportunities and money because of this embarrassing error that I had to discover and show them.

When I checked into my account a year ago, I found that my address was at some trailer park in Wisconsin (I have never lived there), and I had to call them and assure them my address was here in New York.

So, if you are thinking e-publisher, don't go to I Universe, unless you would like to enjoy the fantasy world of trailer park living, while feeding some incompetant graphics and marketing department who like to use talented authors and their egos to line thier pockets with whatever they can through cyber space.

I guess these are the April showers that should bring May Flowers. I am writing a new chapbook at this time and have connected with a small desktop publisher and will be working with some new art business of an interesting nature. More to come out in the summer.

Ever experience is valuable, but no doubt I do not urge any trust on this company for myself or anyone else.
